SEPT 23: PD Day Camp: Comic Club

A combination of time to work on and workshop comics, as well as instruction and lessons and developing characters, settings, and story arcs. Ideal for kids in grades 1-7. No need to know how to read/write/spell!

You know your child best. This camp is focused on drawing and storytelling, so if your child is not interested in these things, or doesn't enjoy putting together a big project that takes a good chunk of time, this may not be a fit. If your child loves books like Dog Man, Cat Kid Comic Club, and InVestiGators, they will be comfortable in this day camp.

We'll intersperse the day with lessons and activities, wrapping up with a completed comic. The goal is to take home a hand made comic book at the end of the day!

Please speak with your artist about appropriate use of the studio: like school, we ask that students make safe choices, walk instead of run, and put garbage and recycling away. We expect everyone in the studio to be respectful, to try their best, and to challenge themselves. 

We are limiting the number of artists at this camp to sixteen.

😊 Drop off your artist between 8:45 and 9:15am, and pick them up between 2:45 and 3:15pm.

🥪 Bring a nut-free picnic lunch and snacks. There is no microwave available.
